Santaluz – We’ve received emails from three different families letting us know they experienced food poisoning after the St. Patrick’s Day event on March 22.
While it thankfully doesn’t seem to have been anything serious, it’s concerning that no communication came from the General Manager. We believe the membership should have been informed. Ignoring it doesn’t make it disappear — it just makes people feel unheard.
From what we’ve been told, those who got sick had eaten the corned beef and Irish chowder, while others who didn’t eat those dishes felt fine. That’s not a coincidence.
This isn’t something we can just laugh off. Food poisoning is a serious health concern — especially for young kids and older adults. We’re lucky it wasn’t worse, but that doesn’t make it okay
It’s likely that more families were affected but simply haven’t reached out yet. If you or your family experienced any symptoms after the event, please share in the comments. It’s important that we support one another and speak up.
This is our club. We care about it deeply. And we believe the management should show that same level of care toward us.
Excuses don’t build trust. Transparency does.
I vomited too. Disgusting
He should have been fired a few months ago!
RUSSELL! It’s time to go
I completely agree—food poisoning is a big deal, and it’s frustrating that Russell and management didn’t even acknowledge it. This isn’t the first time they’ve failed to step up in recent years, and it’s getting old. Members deserve to know what happened, especially when it’s something as serious as this.
Transparency isn’t optional—it’s the least they owe us.
Thank you for creating this space
Excuse after excuse
If that’s true, then management really isn’t doing a good job. You can’t play with people’s health. Russell, could you please be more honest with us?
I am not a fan of the hot tub effort, but was one that got sick all night long after eating small amt of cabbage and Irish Chowder. Lasted 12 hours. I told Russell.
The real problem here is management, and Russell in particular. You told him about the food poisoning and at least four families got sick , so why didn’t he warn the rest of the members?
Russell will only try to cover this up. He’ll probably send an email saying ‘exciting news, the members didn’t die’
Russell stop, please!
I hope someone reported the illnesses to the health department.
Russell, could you please shed some light on this serious matter? Your silence on it is really not acceptable!
