Is a Food Poisoning Investigation Underway at The Bistro?

Is history repeating itself? It appears that a new food poisoning investigation is underway at the Bistro.
We’ve received credible communication (see above) indicating that the Department of Environmental Health and Quality is once again investigating a possible food-related illness linked to The Bistro. While the full details have not yet been confirmed, the very fact that county officials are asking follow-up questions, including about vomiting frequency, timing, and possible medical treatment, should concern everyone.
We must emphasize: if the investigation confirms a foodborne illness, this is not a minor matter. It raises serious questions about safety, sanitation, and operational accountability within the Club. Our community deserves full transparency and, above all, protection.
General Manager, we ask this with sincerity and urgency: What is happening at The Club, and why has this happened again? We can’t afford silence or vague statements. This community deserves honest answers. It is not acceptable to cover up or downplay health-related incidents. The trust of our members and the well-being of their families is at stake.
We want to extend our sincere thanks to the family who reached out to our website and bravely shared their experience. Speaking up takes courage, especially in a close-knit community like ours. Your voice matters and it has prompted essential questions that must now be answered.
We will continue to monitor the situation and report updates as they are verified. If you or your family have experienced symptoms or have information to share, we encourage you to contact the County of San Diego directly and, if you feel comfortable, share your story with us as well.

This might be the final round for Russell.
I heard 6 families were involved.
Food poisoning is no joke, come on, Russell, shame on you!
If 6 people were involved can you ask them to post about their experience here? This “I heard it was X #” is not constructive. You should just post facts of what is known. I am in the restaurant business and this is no joke.
If it takes an outside website to inform members about a health alert involving public authorities, then we need to seriously ask ourselves what management is actually managing. Silence is not a strategy, it’s a liability. This isn’t about assigning blame, it’s about basic responsibility. At some point, avoiding uncomfortable truths becomes the most dangerous choice of all. Thank you to this website for doing what leadership should have.
