Summer at Santaluz brings back the buzz of kids on campus, and this year’s camp offerings cover all the bases: multi-sport sessions, creative arts, science, swim days, and even a tennis intensive. For many parents, these camps are a summer lifesaver.
Programs are grouped by age, with thoughtful attention to keeping things developmentally appropriate. Favorites like “Adventure Camp” return alongside new specialty options, and the whole schedule feels full of energy and good planning. It’s the kind of lineup that makes you want to sign your kids up for everything.
If only signing up were that easy.
Despite all the effort behind the camps, registration continues to be unnecessarily difficult. Parents still can’t register online and must rely on phone calls or emails, which often leads to confusion. For a club that handles so much digitally—from fitness reservations to dining—this part feels like it’s stuck in the past. An online registration form or portal would make the process far more efficient for both staff and families.
That said, credit goes where it’s due. The staff involved—especially the camp counselors—are a big part of why these camps stay popular. Parents frequently praise their enthusiasm, consistency, and ability to handle groups of energetic kids with both fun and safety in mind.

In the end, Santaluz’s summer camps continue to be one of the club’s strongest seasonal offerings. A big shoutout goes to Iman Pegus, ARC Director, and Sean Huey, Camp Lead, for the visible improvements this year—the energy, structure, and staffing all took a noticeable step forward. With just a few logistical fixes, the program could set the gold standard for summer activities in private clubs. Making registration easier would simply help more families enjoy what’s already working well.
