Santaluz 3.5 Ladies Continue Strong Performance at Sectionals
For the ninth time in just eighteen months, The Santaluz Club showcased its presence at the USTA 3.5 Ladies Sectional Championships, highlighting the consistency and depth of its women’s league program. This achievement demonstrates the ongoing commitment and skill within the club’s tennis community.
Despite several players moving up to the 4.0 level this season, the 3.5 team successfully assembled a new roster that continued to perform exceptionally well. With strong teamwork and solid on-court play, the team kicked off the event with two impressive wins on the first day. This strong start not only showcased their individual skills but also positioned them advantageously going into the final round of round-robin play.
As the team sought one more victory to secure a place in the semifinals, they competed fiercely but ultimately fell short, losing two closely contested matches that were decided by third-set tiebreakers. The narrow losses underscored the competitive spirit of the team and made for an exciting conclusion to their sectional play.
